Connect the HD2 Units to VBOX 3i ADAS
When you have configured the sensors, trigger and CAN channels on the VBOX 3i ADAS unit, you can connect the two HD2 units and set up the cameras.
- Assemble the camera mounts and clamps, and fix a camera in each clamp.
- Connect 2 cameras to the first HD2 unit, one to the CAM 1 port and one to the CAM 2 port.
- Connect 2 cameras to the second HD2 unit, one to the CAM 1 port and one to the CAM 2 port.
- Remove the SD cards from the HD2 units to add the scenes during the configuration.
- Connect the CAN Splitter to the SER port on the VBOX 3i ADAS.
- Connect the first HD2 unit to VBOX 3i ADAS with an RLCAB005-C cable from the CAN/SER port on the rear panel of the HD2 to a port on the CAN Splitter.
- Connect the second HD2 unit to VBOX 3i ADAS with an RLCAB005-C cable from the CAN/SER port on the rear panel of the HD2 to a port on the CAN Splitter.
- Apply power to the VBOX 3i ADAS.
| Note: It is best practise to always ensure that the VBOX unit is powered at the same time as (or after) the connected HD2 units. If your HD2 units are powered via the VBOX (as illustrated below), and you need to disconnect an HD2 unit for any reason, you must also remove the power from the VBOX unit. When re-connecting, make sure that you connect the HD2 unit(s) to the VBOX unit before applying power again. |
