USB Transfer

This page contains information about how to transfer files to and from the internal SSD on LabSat 4 (P) via USB.
Transfer From Internal SSD to USB Drive

You can copy files from the internal SSD to external USB media by using the following steps:

  1. Connect the USB drive to the Host USB port.
     
  2. Highlight the file you want to transfer.
     
  3. Press the OK button to open the menu.
     
  4. Highlight File and press OK to enter the File menu.
     
  5. Highlight Copy and press OK to open the Copy File menu.
     
  6. Highlight To USB and press OK to open the COPY TO USB screen.
     
  7. Confirm if you want to copy the file to the USB drive by highlighting YES and pressing OK.

    If you do not want to complete this process, highlight No and press OK to return to the Copy File menu.

Transfer From USB Drive to Internal SSD

You can copy files from an external USB media to the internal SSD by using the following steps:

  1. Connect the USB drive to the Host USB port.
     
  2. Use the Up arrow to navigate to the Back option on the File Selection screen.
     
  3. Press the OK button with Back highlighted to go to the Directory Selection screen.
     
  4. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the usb directory.
     
  5. Press the OK button to select the directory and open the File Selection screen.
     
  6. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to and highlight the file you want to transfer.
     
  7. Press the OK button to open the menu.
     
  8. Highlight File and press OK to enter the File menu.
     
  9. Highlight Copy and press OK to open the Copy File menu.
     
  10. Highlight To SATA and press OK to open the TO SATA screen.
     
  11. Confirm if you want to copy the file to the sata drive by highlighting YES and pressing OK.
     
  12. If you do not want to complete this process, highlight No and press OK to return to the Copy File menu.

Note: The connected USB media must be formatted to EXT4.
