VBOX Precision Ranging System (VPRS)

The VBOX Precision Ranging System (VPRS) enables you to accurately measure the distance between two objects, in any environment. It is suitable for any application where you need to calculate a separation distance and does not rely on GPS, which means the system can also be used indoors. It consists of a receiver (rover) and a beacon, which communicate using Ultra Wideband. The rover is placed on one of the objects, the beacon is placed on the second object and the distance between each is then calculated by the rover to an accuracy of up to 2 cm. There is no need to survey the position of either device, install any site control system or perform complex setup routines. Up to 5 systems can be used simultaneously and can be easily configured using the free VBOX Precision Ranging System setup software. |
