How to Coldstart Performance Box Touch

If Performance Box Touch is struggling to acquire a satellite lock, you may need to perform a GPS coldstart on the unit. This may be necessary when the unit has gone several days without use or has moved location significantly since its last use.

You can perform a coldstart by pressing the Settings button at the bottom left of the screen. Use the Forward arrow or swipe left to navigate to the Diagnostics Settings menu. Press the COLDSTART button to initiate the process.
 

When you press the button, the unit will make an audible alert and a ‘PLEASE WAIT’ message will be displayed on the screen, counting down from 3. The number of satellites will then be displayed as '00' and the GPS status will show ‘SEARCHING FOR SATELLITES’ until it has acquired a satellite lock. It will take approximately 25 to 30 seconds for the unit to reacquire the satellite lock.
