Overview

ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is the name given to a group of technologies being implemented by the majority of car manufacturers around the world to improve driver safety and comfort. The Racelogic ADAS system is capable of testing and validating a wide range of these technologies and details of how the Racelogic system can be configured for each application is presented in this guide.

A number of terms are used in the document titles to indicate the type of tests to be undertaken. These terms are:

Term Description
Static Base This refers to use of a static Base Station which is sending DGPS correction data.  Normally this will be a Racelogic Base Station using RTCM v3.0.

Single Point Single point tests use a single contact point on the vehicle to measure the distance from other vehicles, pedestrians or obstacles.
Multi Point Multi point tests use up to 24 points on a vehicle to create a representation of the shape of the vehicle from which distances are measured.
Multi Static Point This refers to a test that involves interaction with multiple static points - e.g. signpost recognition testing.
Single Target This refers to a test that involves interaction with only one other vehicle.
