Once you are satisfied with your customised scenario, go to the Create options to specify the output options for your scenario.

  1. Set the format to correspond with the LabSat unit you want to use to replay the scenario.

The options available for the scenario configuration will vary depending on the LabSat unit it is created for.

  2. Choose a file save location and file name.
  3. Select the required constellations, frequencies, quantisation and hardware attenuation from the available options.

When you are happy with the configuration of the output format, click the Create file button to make SatGen 4 generate the GNSS scenario.

If you need to create multiple scenarios and simulations, we recommend using the queue. Click on the Add to queue button to make SatGen 4 send the file to the generation queue, but pause the generation until you are finished configuring all your scenarios.

The file will be created and saved in the relevant directory.

Note:

SatGen 4 can create wideband signals in the upper and lower L band and takes advantage of the ability of LabSat 3 Wideband and LabSat 4 to read RF data at up to 95 MB/s.

  5. Tick the VTG and/or RMC boxes to add these messages to the output file if required.
