Static Base Telemetry
Racelogic offer several Base Station radio options to accommodate for local regulations on allowable frequencies and power outputs.
2.4 GHz Radios
RTMXB2 RadiosThese 2.4 GHz radios can be used in all countries and can be used to transmit DGPS corrections for ADAS car-to-car telemetry or VBOX serial data from a remote unit to a laptop PC. |
|
RTM24 RadiosThe 2.4 GHz Base Station Telemetry radios are available with a transmission power of 50 mW (Japan) and 125 mW and can be used in most countries apart from the EU. Depending on the power output, the radios have a max. range of 2400 m or 3000 m. |
|
915 MHz RadiosThe 915 MHz radios can be used in the USA and have a max range of 3500 m. The Base Station variant (RLRTM915BS) is designed to connect to the Racelogic Base Station and transmit DGPS corrections to a remote VBOX. The VBOX variant (RLRTM915TR) is designed to connect to a VBOX to receive DGPS corrections from a Base Station. |
The Base Station variant is designed to connect to the Racelogic Base Station and transmit DGPS corrections to a remote VBOX. The VBOX variant is designed to connect to a VBOX to receive DGPS corrections from a Base Station.
These transmit a much longer correction message at a much lower rate than the Moving Base setup. There is no limit to the number of receiving radios that can get corrections from a transmitting radio.

869 MHz Radios
The 869 MHz radios can be used throughout Europe and have a max range of 3500 m.
The Base Station variant is designed to connect to the Racelogic Base Station and transmit DGPS corrections to a remote VBOX. The VBOX variant is designed to connect to a VBOX to receive DGPS corrections from a Base Station.
The VBOX receives DGPS correction data received by the telemetry module, via the VBOX’s CAN socket. The telemetry module acts as a receiver for information transmitted by a DGNSS Base Station.

Variable Frequency RadiosVariable frequency radios can be set to transmit and receive data between 403 and 470 MHz. The variable frequency and power of these radios (typical max. range of 10 km at 500 mW) makes them accepted in many countries. Please check local RF licensing regulations. Racelogic supply a special version of this radio for China and Korea. Please contact your distributor for further information. The Base Station variant is designed to connect to the Racelogic Base Station and transmit DGPS corrections to a remote VBOX. The VBOX variant is designed to connect to a VBOX to receive DGPS corrections from a Base Station. |
