5.3 Logging Menu

This page covers the Logging menu in VBOX Setup connected to a VBOX 3i Single Antenna (v5) unit with firmware version 2.8.

The Logging menu allows you to change the method of logging, logging rate, stop logging delay duration and serial output rate.

  1. Log Condition

Select whether the VBOX will commence logging when moving, continuously or using advanced conditions. 

  • Only when moving: Logging will begin when speed is greater than 0.5 km/h and stop when under this value.
  • Continuously: Logging will begin automatically whenever media is inserted. After insertion of media, logging can be controlled manually from LOG button or from VBOX Manager.
  • Advanced: This option opens a 'Custom log condition' option which allows the setting of up to 8 logging conditions.

  1. Log Rate

Choose between 6 log rate options: 1 Hz, 5 Hz, 10 Hz, 20 Hz, 50 Hz and 100 Hz (100 Hz should be used for normal operation). Enable or disable internal analog/ digital inputs 500 Hz logging.

  1. Stop Logging Delay

Select the stop logging delay, available between 0-10 seconds.

Note: Not available if 'Continuously' logging is selected.

  1. Serial Output

Choose between 4 serial output options: 5 Hz, 20 Hz, 50 Hz and 100 Hz.
