ADAS Testing
You can set up multiple channels that can be referenced simultaneously.
Start with the Hardware
Before you start the ADAS configuration and testing, you must set up the hardware systems. We recommend that all the necessary hardware, (VBOX units for the target(s), antennas, IMU, NTRIP, etc) is already installed and connected in the vehicles before you start configuring the systems.
If you are surveying any new elements for the test, we recommend that you use the VBOX 3i unit intended for the subject vehicle, as this unit will need to be connected to a survey pole or trolley to record the necessary points.
Configure the vehicles
Set vehicle points and or line reference points
When you have set up the hardware in the applicable vehicles, the next step is to configure the Subject and Targets. You do this by setting a VBOX 3i unit to Subject mode and performing the relevant configuration for the test you want to run. Depending on the test you are performing you might not want to set contact points but only set line reference points or vice versa.
Set the Target and Subject vehicles
After you have configured the relevant points, road lines and signposts, it is time to assign each VBOX unit to its appropriate subject/target
Run the test
You can connect to a Display or to the Test Suite software to see live data during the test.
Post-processing and analysis
After you finish the test, you can perform post-processing and analysis in the Test Suite or File Processor applications to gain further information from the data you captured during the test.
Note: Due to the large quantity of data that is being logged during ADAS testing, the output file (.vbb) is compressed and not human-readable. You will need to use our Test Suite software to open and view the file. Test Suite can convert .vbb files to .vbo files.
