4.3 CAN Menu
This page has an overview of the CAN menu in the VBOX Setup Software connected to a VBOX 100 Hz Speed Sensor (v5). This is where you can configure the CAN output settings and select transmitted identifiers.
Settings
Configure the output baud rates and termination and export the channel information as a .dbc file.
Channel usage This area will display the CAN bus channel load. If the bus loading is more than 70%, the icon in the top right corner will become red. When it is more than 75% the icon will start flashing. If you choose to write to the unit while the CAN bus loading exceeds 70%, you will trigger a warning message. |

Output The software has four baud rate output values:

Export to DBC Create a .dbc file of the currently configured VBOX channels. |

Transmitted identifiers
Select which CAN output identifiers you would like transmitted.
Send | To switch a CAN message on/off, tick or un-tick the box for the corresponding message. |
Default / Actual ID | This allows the modification of the CAN IDs transmitted by the VBOX unit. Default values are the Racelogic standard IDs of 0x301, 0x302 …. 0x307. |
Xtd | To change the identifier format from standard 11-bit to extended 29-bit, tick the Xtd box in the corresponding column. |
Data bytes | Shows which channels will be sent out in each message. |
